Our Coleman Construction & Utilities Limited team is progressing well with its groundworks and external works project for client NFN Developments Limited in St Leonards, East Sussex. The contract forms part of an overall plan to provide 40 self-contained rooms for the YMCA’s supported housing programme.
Site Manager Keith Sturmer and his team are working towards completion of their works at the end of June, with strip footings constructed and 110mm drainage systems fully installed. Due to the topography of the site, the team has also built several retaining walls and constructed fully accessible routes via the construction of access ramps, pathways, and walkways to support the end user requirements.
External works are on-going, with amenity areas being formed, asphalt car parking provided, cycle areas created, steps shuttered and poured, and patios laid, covering both the practical and reflective areas necessitated for a build of this nature.
Block paving work is moving forward and looking good, as the team begin to head to the extremities of the site, towards the highway. The sewer works are planned soon, whereby a full Chapter 8 closure will be in place and final connections and reinstatement works will be completed.
